Flat Roofing
What is Flat Roofing?
Flat Roofing is a common roofing solution for commercial buildings. There are many types of flat roofing methods that can be installed.
EPDM Roofing: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) is made from synthetic rubber, and is a great choice for many different types of buildings. It’s flexible and durable, so if your building has some unique, roof-related challenges, EPDM might be the way to go.
TPO Roofing: A single-ply application, thermoplastic olefin or polyolefin (TPO) is highly durable. If you want an environmentally friendly, extremely strong, and heat-reflective roof, TPO might be the right choice.
SBS Roofing: SBS modified bitumen roofing is a mixture of polyester and modified bitumen, treated with styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) for extra elasticity, applied with a roofing torch over protector board and ABS plastic paper. An SBS roof is watertight, can improve energy efficiency, and is elastic yet durable.
BUR Roofing: Built-up roof membranes, commonly referred to by the acronym BUR, have been in use in Alberta for more than 100 years. These roof systems are commonly referred to as “tar and gravel” roofs. BUR systems generally are composed of alternating layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabrics that create a finished membrane and are covered by a gravel ballast.
